How to Make Italian Sausage Spaghetti
Making this Italian Sausage Spaghetti couldn't be easier! Here's a quick overview of the process. (Be sure to scroll down to the recipe card for the full list of ingredients and detailed instructions.)
- Cook the spaghetti. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the spaghetti until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Brown the meat. Cook the sliced Italian sausage and ground beef in a large Dutch oven or deep skillet until browned and fully cooked, breaking up the ground beef as it cooks while leaving the sausage slices intact.
- Cook the mushrooms. Add the sliced mushrooms and cook until softened.
- Build the sauce. Stir in the garlic and Italian seasoning, then add the tomato paste, McCormick's Spaghetti Seasoning Mix, and water. Stir until everything is well combined.
- Simmer. Reduce the heat and let the sauce simmer until it thickens and the flavors have come together.
- Serve. Spoon the meat sauce over the cooked spaghetti and garnish with chopped fresh Italian parsley and grated Parmesan cheese before serving.
